Welcome Google Chrome
My first thoughts on Google Chrome: Fast, simple, and functional.
Google Chrome…
Google’s web browser. In other words, a new and strong competitor to Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, and Safari. And even with its first version, it’s amazing. Congratulations, Google, you’ve done it again…
I’m writing these lines with Google Chrome right now. It has a built-in spell checker, but it doesn’t yet support Turkish. However, I predict that it will start supporting it soon.
Like all Google products, Google Chrome is very simple yet highly functional. I love simplicity in web browsers. I’ve always tried to stay away from toolbars and menus. Google Chrome perfectly reflects how I feel and has eliminated all unnecessary tools. This way, you have much more space to view web pages.
I just turned my bookmarks bar into a kind of Google Services menu. iGoogle, GMail, GBlog, GReader, GCalendar, GDocs, GNote, GNews, GWiki, GPhoto were the services I immediately added.
Google Chrome is very fast and, in particular, highly compatible with Google Services. It opens them without any slowdowns or crashes, displaying them seamlessly.
These are my initial thoughts on Google Chrome. Even though I can’t give up my Firefox (though if it keeps developing at this pace, I might jump to Google Chrome), in the future, as its compatibility with Google Services increases, I might use it as an indispensable Google Services Tracking Tool.
Another Google Service development: Google Calendar now has a drag-and-drop feature, which makes things much easier. I definitely recommend you try it.
Google, you really know what you’re doing…
And Google Chrome Comic, designed to explain Google Chrome’s features.
